Answer:$559.50

Explanation:

Using the formula

PV   x (1 + r) ^ n = FV

where PV= Present value

  r= rate

 n=number of years

  FV= Future value

a) Future value to earn in 3 yrs for amount of $115

115 x (1+7.65%) ^3 =  $143.463

b) Future value to earn in 2 yrs for amount of $150

150 x (1+7.65%) ^2=  $173.8278

c)Future value to earn in 1 year for amount of $225

225 x (1+7.65%) ^1=   $242.2125

Total Amount Accumulated in three years =   $143.463 + $173.8278+  $242.2125 =$559.5033 = $559.50

The current equilibrium price and quantity in the market for walnuts are $5 per pound with 10,000 pounds supplied. Supermarkets
mel-nik [20]

Answer:

Option (a) is correct.

Explanation:

Given that,

Initial Quantity supplied = 10,000

New quantity supplied = 15,000

Initial price = $5

Price elasticity of demand = 1.8

Percentage change in quantity supplied:

= [(New quantity supplied - Initial Quantity supplied) ÷ Initial Quantity supplied] × 100

= [(15,000 - 10,000) ÷ 10,000] × 100

= (5,000 ÷ 10,000) × 100

= 50%

Let the new price be x,

Percentage change in price:

= [(New price - Initial price) ÷ Initial price] × 100

= [(x - $5) ÷ $5] × 100

= (x - 5) × 20

= 20x - 100

Therefore,

Price elasticity of demand = Percentage change in quantity supplied ÷ Percentage change in price

1.8 = 50 ÷ (20x - 100)

1.8 (20x - 100) = 50

36x - 180 = 50

36x = 230

x = 5

Hence, the new price per pound of walnuts is $5.

9.98 percent

10.04 percent

10.79 percent

10.37 percent

10.45 percent

The third option of 10.79% is correct

Explanation:

The cost of equity according to Miller and Modgiliani capital asset pricing model is given below:

Ke=Rf+beta*(Mrp-Rf)

Rf is the risk free rate which is the return on government security is 2.7%

beta is 1.14

Mrp is the market risk premium is 7.1% which is given in the formula as (Mrp-Rf)

Ke=2.7%+1.14*7.1%

Ke=2.7%+8.09%

Ke=10.79%
