Answer:

No, this not the accurate statement.

Explanation:

As in article in the local paper, a new copper line is found in New Mexico. And all that is needed to identify a substance is the mass and the volume of the substance. But this is not the truth because to identify a substance we need to know about is an atomic number, atomic mass etc so that we can define it in periodic tables.

The plasma membrane is _____. A) Permeable B) Semipermeable C) Rigid around D) The nucleus
Nostrana [21]

The correct answer is B.

The cell membrane is a two-layer lipid membrane that surrounds and protects the cell. It allows only certain molecules to enter and leave the cell, that's why we call it semi-permeable. The membrane is permeable only for small, uncharged molecules which enter and leave in the process of osmosis. All other types of molecules require a special transport protein or a channel in order to be transported trough the cell membrane.

Your friend makes a claim that the image to the right shows facilitated
VARVARA [1.3K]

Answer:

Facilitated diffusion is a type of passive transport of molecules down the concentration gradient between two sides of a membrane which doesn't require ATP and instead uses a specific transmembrane protein.

Active transport requires instead ATP and it is the process drawn in the figure. Moreover the figure illustrates that molecules are moving against their concentration gradient.
