The answer is 6 1/8 pizzas. 35x8 is 280 slices in total to sell. 13x8 is 104 plus 1/8 (which equals to 1 slice) is 105. 15x8 is 120 plus 3/4 (which equals to 6 slices) is 126. Add 105 and 126 to get 231 slices. Subtract 280-231 to get 49 and divide that by 1/8. That equals to 6.1 or 6 1/8 pizzas.

Write the equation of the quadratic function with roots 6 and 10 and a vertex at (8,2)
Elis [28]
...6 and 10 are roots, so x – 6 and x – 10 are factors.
y = a(x – 6)(x – 10).....plug in the point (8, 2) and solve for a:
2 = a(8 – 6)(8 – 10)
2 = –4a
a = –1/2
...y = (–1/2)(x – 6)(x – 10)
...y = (–1/2)(x² – 16x + 60)
...y = (–x²/2) + 8x – 30 <<<------Answer, or:
...y = (–1/2)(x – 8)² + 2 <<<------Answer
