Answer:

Chester to Durbin is 11.9 miles far.

Step-by-step explanation:

Please refer to the attached figure.

Given:-

Distance from Alston to Barton=10\frac{3}{5} =\frac{50+3}{5} =\frac{53}{5}

Distance from Alston to Barton = 10.6 miles

Distance from Barton to Chester = 12\frac{1}{2} =\frac{24+1}{2} =\frac{25}{2}

Distance from Barton to Chester = 12.5 miles

Distance from Alston to Durbin = 35 miles.

To find:- Distance from Chester to Durbin = ?

Solution:-

Let Alston=A, Barton=B, Chester=C, Durbin=D.

Now from the attached figure we can see that,

A to B is the distance from Alston to Barton,

\therefore\ AB=10.6\ miles

B to C is the distance from Barton to Chester,

\therefore\ BC=12.5\ miles

A to is the distance from Alston to Durbin,

\therefore\ AD=35 miles

C to D is the distance from Chester to Durbin

\therefore We have to find Distance CD=?

Now from the attached figure we can see that,

CD=AD-AC

CD=AD-(AB+BC)

CD=35-(10.6+12.5)

CD=35-23.1

CD=11.9\ miles

As CD is the distance from Chester to Durbin,

Therefore Chester to Durbin is 11.9 miles far.

f(h(x))= 2x -21

Step-by-step explanation:

f(x)= x^3 - 6

h(x)=\sqrt[3]{2x-15}

WE need to find f(h(x)), use composition of functions

Plug in h(x)

f(h(x))=f(\sqrt[3]{2x-15})

Now we plug in f(x) in f(x)

f(h(x))=f(\sqrt[3]{2x-15})=(\sqrt[3]{2x-15})^3 - 6

cube and cube root will get cancelled

f(h(x))= 2x-15 -6= 2 x-21

Find the values of x and y.
kupik [55]

Answer:

x=6, y=75

Step-by-step explanation:

Since the diameter of the circle is a perpendicular bisector to the chord, x and 6 must be equal and therefore x=6. It also bisects the arc, meaning that y=75. Hope this helps!
