When tourists come to a country they spend money on accommodation, food, travel etc. therefore investing money in the country. Also supplying jobs to the country helping the country to run.

Countries that developed their tourist potential can have huge economic gain just from that branch. The point is that the country has a tourist offer all year round. For example, if the country has developed sea resorts that operate during the summer months, mountain resorts, spa s, major cities can compensate the offer for the rest of the year. France would be a great example of well developed tourist offer.
