Why is gunshot residue important for a forensic scientist? What are the potential complications with this type of evidence?
damaskus [11]
The gunshot residue is important, because if a man/woman has recently shot a firearm, to hurt someone, the gun as soon as it is fired it will leave the residue. So if someone was to commit a crime of any sort using a gun, and they have fired it the scientist can take a swab of the suspects hands, and find out if they are responsible for the crime. The bad part about this evidence is that it is easily taken care of. The suspect could have worn gloves, and gotten rid of them. Therefore there would be no residue on his/her hands.

Diversification may dissipate value if it is wrongly based on: a. transferring competencies. b. realizing economies of scope. c.
Bezzdna [24]

Answer:

C. rescuing core business.

Explanation:

Diversification: It is a process of expanding the business by allocating investment in several other related businesses. This is a way to reduce risk on any particular asset or business and it also helps in covering the loss of one business. A company should pursue related diversification instead of unrelated diversification when the company's core skills are highly specialized and have few applications outside its core business.

If fixed costs are $1,500,000, the unit selling price is $250, and the unit variable costs are $130, what is the amount of sales
seraphim [82]

Answer:

15,000 units

Explanation:

The computation of the  break even point in units after considering the desired profit is shown below:

= (Fixed cost + desired operating income) ÷ (Contribution margin per unit)

where,

Contribution margin per unit = Selling price per unit - Variable expense per unit

= $250 - $130

= $120

And the other values of items will remain the same now placing these values in the formula above.

So the units would be

= ($1,500,000 + $300,000) ÷ ($120)

= ($1,800,000) ÷ ($120)

= 15,000 units

Use the classical IS–LMmodel to analyze the effects of a permanent increase in government purchases of 100 per year (in real ter
finlep [7]

Answer:

Explanation:

A. The effect of a permanent increase in government purchases is different from that of a temporary increase.

I case of a permanent increase, the income effect is more as compared to that of a temporary increase. This happens because in case of a permanent increase, the present value of taxes is high in order to pay for the added government purchases. Hence, labor supply increases more in case of permanent change.

B. When consumption falls by the equal amount of taxes, there will be no change in the desired national savings. As a result, there will be no shift in the savings curve. If investment is also not changed or affected, The IS curve would not shift.

C. When there is a permanent increase in government purchases and taxes, the supply of labor will increase, thus shifting the FE curve to the right. In order to restore equilibrium back in the economy, the price level must decline, shifting LM curve to the right. As a result, output increases and interest rate falls.
