The correct answers are A) Only five percent of the population was able to vote. B) Only wealthy landowners were able to vote. D) Large cities were extremely underrepresented.

The major problems in the British parliamentary system were that only five percent of the population was able to vote, only wealthy landowners were able to vote, and large cities were extremely underrepresented.

Most of the laws were enacted for the benefit of the nobles or the wealthy people of the time. Just a few percentage of British could vote, just five percent. The population was not represented in the ballots. Poor people were not considered and their opinions were not valued by the Parliament. This way, the decisions that Parliament took were biased in benefit of the wealthy landlords and the lower classes had no decision at all. The British parliamentary system comprises the legislative body of the U.K. They are the men and woman that create the laws in England constitutional monarchy.

What is the significance of the English Bill of Rights on the development of the U.S Constitution?
guapka [62]

Some believed that the Constitution did not give the new federal government the ability to restrict inherent rights, so no list of those rights was necessary. Others worried that if the rights were listed, they would invariably forget some and the list would ever be incomplete. Finally, the argument was that the states each had their own constitutions, too, and that rights were best protected at a state level.

What was one weakness of the Articles of Confederation in establishing the first government of the United States?
shepuryov [24]
The answer is A. because it was already tiresome to get 9 nine states out of 13 states to vote on an amendment.

Choice B. is incorrect because the British only required their war costs at the end of the Constitution. Choice C. is incorrect because the Virginia plan (large states) and the New Jersey plan (small states) took place after the Constitution. Choice D. was a major benefit, so that wasn't a weakness.
