Answer:

Following are the two ways in which chromosomes and cookbooks are similar.

1) Chromosome are similar to the cookbook because in cookbook there is information about the making of different dishes, just like that the chromosome contains all information for making different cells.

2) For making a particular dish we only read the specific recipe, just like that chromosome contains all the data that is required to make a specific cell but body only take the specific information which is required for making a particular cell.

Which statements accurately describe soil? Check all that apply.
ahrayia [7]

Answer:

Soil condition directly affects crop growth.

Explanation:

Soil condition affects the crop growth directly. If a soil is in fertile condition then the growth of crop which is growing in such soil will be good but if the soil is infertile then the crop will not grow to its fullest. A fertile soil is the one which has optimum condition for growth of a crop like suitable pH, moisture retention capacity, good amount of nutrients & minerals like nitrogen, phosphorus, sodium, potassium, magnesium etc. If a soil is rich in all these constituents then the crop which is growing in this soil will be healthy. But, if a soil is infertile then the crop which is growing on that soil will be under stress and will not be able to grow completely.

How do fossils provide evidence to support the theory of the evolution of earth?
Zigmanuir [339]

Answer:

Fossils provide direct evidence of evolution. They show the changes of animals from ancient organisms to present form. Fossils are the preserved remains of earth layers. There are 4 types of fossils-

Original fossils that are not very old.  e.g. teeth, skeleton, shells.

Frozen fossils

less permanent fossils

casts, molds,  and prints - wings, skin, leaves, etc.

The fossils show the adaptive radiation in horses, humans. The transition fossils form the connecting link between different groups such as fish and amphibians, reptiles and birds, etc.

e.g. Archeopteryx is the connecting link between the reptiles and birds.

The modern horse Equus have several ancestor species, we came to know from the fossil records.

The fossil record shows the evolution of humans and their ancestors.
