<u>Solu</u><u>tion</u><u> </u><u>:</u><u>-</u>

Given coordinates to us are ,

  • P(2,3) .
  • Q(3,4).
  • R(5,6)
  • S(4,5)

Here it is asked to Prove that these are vertices of Rhombus . So we know that all sides of a Rhombus are equal .So if we show that value of all sides lenght are equal , then it will be a Rhombus .

We will use Distance Formula .

Now , here ,

<u>Dista</u><u>nce</u><u> </u><u>betwe</u><u>en</u><u> </u><u>P</u><u> </u><u>and</u><u> </u><u>Q</u><u> </u><u>:</u>

⇒ x = √ (2 - 3)² + (3-4)² .

⇒ x = √ (-1)² + (-1)² .

⇒ x = √ 1 + 1 .

⇒ x = √2 .

<u>Dista</u><u>nce</u><u> </u><u>betwee</u><u>n</u><u> </u><u>Q</u><u> </u><u>and</u><u> </u><u>S</u><u> </u><u>:</u>

⇒ x =√ [ (3-4)² + (5-4)².

⇒x = √ 1² + 1² .

⇒ x = √ 1 + 1 .

⇒ x = √2 .

Similarly we can prove other distances equal.

Find the scale factor of the two cylinders:

Figure A has an r of 4 and figure B has an r of 2:

2 / 4 = 0.50, so Figure B is half the size of Figure A.

Since you want the volume, which is measured in cubic units, you need to cube the scale factor:

0.5^3 = 0.125

Multiply the volume of Figure A by the scale factor:

352 x 0.125 = 44 cubic feet.

For x > 2, you would circle the 2, but you would not shade it in because it is greater than/ less than, not greater than or equal to/less than or equal to. From there on, you would move it to the right, because here x is greater than 2, and the numbers to the right of 2 are greater than two.

For x < 2, you would again circle the 2, but don't shade it in. And then you would make a line heading towards the left, because the numbers to the left of 2 are smaller than 2, and here, x is smaller than 2, since 2 is greater.

A value that is not the solution to either inequality is 2. 2 is not greater than 2, and 2 is not less than 2.
