He was so famous and important that Lorenzo actually became the most popular name in the United States according to the 1850 census. He led missions across the US and preached everywhere.

It is worth studying today for various reasons. For example, the engraving can be studied from an artistic perspective through things like form, content, style, and similar. It can also be studied from a sociological or anthropological perspective because of how he spread religion across the United States. It can also be studied as a part of history.

The Federalists and the Anti-federalists were the first major political parties in the United States. The Anti-federalists were known as the Democratic-Republican Party, today called Democrat. The Federalists believed in having a strong federal government, to support the people. They believed one of the weaknesses of the Articles of Confederation was that the federal government lacked power. The Federalists believed in a loose interpretation of the Constitution where the power would all be equal, just like today, with the government it's all in stages that can approve and decline things the other stage of our government wants, keeping everything at an equal peace. A loose interpretation would allow the federal government to do many things not specifically listed in the Constitution.
