The answer to this exponential expression is 439.

To solve this expression, we need to use pemdas (parenthesis, exponents, multiplication, division, addition, subtraction). That measn that we first have to do the parenthesis.

7 * (8)² - 3²

Now we have to do exponents.

7 * 64 - 9

Now we have to do the multiplication (because of the order of pemdas)

448 - 9

Finally, we do the subtraction

439. That means that the answer to this exponential expression is 439.

Hello!

To solve this , we will use PEMDAS (Parentheses, Exponents, Multiplication, Division, Addition, Subtraction). We will do so below.

First we solve the parentheses.

7·(8^2)-3^2

7(64)-3^2

Next, we solve the exponent.

7·(64)-9

The next thing we have is multiplication. We multiply the numbers right next to each other, going left to right, as shown below.

448-9

Now, we subtract.

439

Therefore, our answer is 439.

I hope this helps!

Answer:

a. none of these answers

Data provides sufficient evidence, at 1% significance level, to support the expert's claim. In addition the p-value (or the observed significance level) is equal to P( T >3.281)

Step-by-step explanation:

Data given and notation

\bar X=13.5 represent the mean height for the sample

s=3.2 represent the sample standard deviation for the sample

n=9 sample size

\mu_o =10 represent the value that we want to test

\alpha=0.01 represent the significance level for the hypothesis test.

t would represent the statistic (variable of interest)

p_v represent the p value for the test (variable of interest)

State the null and alternative hypotheses.

We need to conduct a hypothesis in order to check if the mean is higher than 10 years, the system of hypothesis would be:

Null hypothesis:\mu \leq 10

Alternative hypothesis:\mu > 10

If we analyze the size for the sample is < 30 and we don't know the population deviation so is better apply a t test to compare the actual mean to the reference value, and the statistic is given by:

t=\frac{\bar X-\mu_o}{\frac{s}{\sqrt{n}}}  (1)

t-test: "Is used to compare group means. Is one of the most common tests and is used to determine if the mean is (higher, less or not equal) to an specified value".

Calculate the statistic

We can replace in formula (1) the info given like this:

t=\frac{13.5-10}{\frac{3.2}{\sqrt{9}}}=3.28

P-value

The first step is calculate the degrees of freedom, on this case:

df=n-1=9-1=8

Since is a one side right tailed test the p value would be:

p_v =P(t_{(8)}>3.281)=0.00558

Conclusion

If we compare the p value and the significance level given \alpha=0.01 we see that p_v so we can conclude that we have enough evidence to reject the null hypothesis, so we can't conclude that we have a mean higher than 10 years at 1% of significance.

From a full 50-liter container of a 40% concentration of acid, x liters are removed and replaced with 100% acid. (A) Write the a
padilas [110]

Answer:

See explanation

Step-by-step explanation:

Given:

50 liter container

40% concentration of acid

x liters are removed and replaced with 100% acid

(A)

Acid in 50-liter container =  40% of 50 liters

                                          = (40/100) * 50

                                          = 0.4 * 50

                                          = 20

So there are 20 liters amount of acid in 50 liter container.

Now x liters are removed and replaced with 100% acid

The acid in x-liter

40% of x liters = (40/100) * x  = 0.4 * x

When x liters are removed then amount of acid that remained in container:

20 - 40% of x liters = 20 -  (40/100) * x  = 20 - 0.4 * x

This can also be written as:

(50-x) (40/100) =  (40*50/100) - (40*x/100) = 2000/100 - 40x/100 =  20 - 2x/5

Since x liters replaced with 100% acid so this becomes:

20 - 40% of x liters + 100% of x liters

= 20 -  (40/100) * x + 100/100 * x

= 20 - (40/100) x + (100/100)x

= 20 +  (100-40/100)x

= 20 + (60/100)x

= 20 + 0.6 x

This can also be written as:

20 - 2x/5 + x = 20 + 3x/5 =  20 + 0.6 x

Hence the amount of acid in the final mixture as a function of x:

f(x) = 20 + 0.6 x

(B)

The value of x can not be greater than 50 liters and can not be lesser than 0 liters.

so, range is [0, 50] where both 0 and 50 are inclusive.

(C)

Since final mixture is 50% acid So

Acid = 50% of 50 litres =

        = (50/100) * 50

        = 1/2 * 50

         = 50/2

        = 25

Put 25 in the computed function of x

20 + 0.6 x = 25

0.6x = 25 - 20

0.6x = 5

x = 5/0.6

x = 8.333333

x = 8.3 liters

Need help with this one it kind of hard
sdas [7]
The answer is D because the question is basically asking you to solve for the equation at t = 5. We get:
v(5) = 45+4(5) = 65

Since it models speed of the car, and <u><em /></u><em>not the time</em>, the answer is D.
