Now I am stuck with the lack of employment, which has made me very sad and hopeless. A new way of thinking about this is to think that I can not control unemployment, and to try for strength to think positive and understand that this is a phase. I can get help by talking to others who have gone through the same situation as mine and are now in a much better situation. I can improve things by taking courses that empower my profession by getting in touch with industries, handing out resumes and positive thinking.

Right now I am stuck with not being able to make significant money because I haven't heard from my client for about 2  1/2 weeks ie no communication so consequently have not been paid and have no new work. A new way to think about it is, "no hay mal que bien no venga" which means there is not a bad thing that something good does not come of it. In my case, it has given me the time to work on my historical book which is at the publisher's and which needs my attention.I can seek help by talking to the internet agency that my client uses and have them try to call him. If he no longer has work, then I can bid on new contracts that come up as ones are always coming up.

Answer:

implying that he is under a lot of pressure from his father

Explanation:

The statement made by Norman seems to be implying that he is under a lot of pressure from his father to be a winner and bring home some medals to prove it, but all that Norman wants is for his father to be proud of him without the need of some medals. It seems that he cannot or does not want to face his father and feels like a failure which is why he wants his father to write him a letter telling him its ok.
