John made $252 for 18 hours of work. At the same rate, how much would he make for 7 hours of work?
Juliette [100K]
This is basically the same as the other question you posted, just with different variables!! make another proportion

252 dollars/18 hours = x dollars/7 hours

252/18 is 14, so

14 = x dollars/7 hours

multiply both sides by 7 to isolate x

98 dollars = x

so john will make $98 for 7 hours of work

Factor each polynomial <br> -28y^2-12y^5
artcher [175]

Answer:

y=-\frac{\sqrt[3]{63} }{3}

y=0

Step-by-step explanation:

− 4 y^{2} ( 3 y^{3} + 7 )

-4y^{2} =0,     ( 3 y^{3} + 7 )=0

y^{2} =0         3y^{3} =-7

y=0            y^{3} =\frac{-7}{3}

                   y=-\frac{\sqrt[3]{63} }{3}

Can someone explain y-intercept? I had a test, and I am pretty sure I bombed it. I really need help!!
Dvinal [7]

Y-intercept, it can be described as y-intercept form, or another way of writing it in mathematical form is y=mx+b, this can be used to draw polygons, find ortho-centers (very difficult), etc. m is the rise/run, rise over run, or 1/2.  The rise and the run is the rate of change.  b is the starting point or slope where it starts at, that is most of it!
