Brightness of light would be an example of a qualitative characteristic. Quantitative is more used with numbers for example, numbers of things, how many of something, while as qualitative is used for characteristics, such as, color, brightness.

Helpful hint: remember QUANT = HOW MANY OF
QUAL = QUALITY = LOOKS

Hope this helps! Let me know if you don't understand !

Brightness is Qualitative unless it is talking about wattage. because quantitative is numbers which is why 'quantit' is in the word because of the word quantity

Please help i need help on question b
anzhelika [568]

There are 12 possible outcomes.....three of these will be a "7" ...so...

A "7" should occur 1/4 of the time

If each player pays 20p to play.....the school will take in 120 * 20 = 2400p

However.......1/4 of the players should win = 30 players.....and each lollipop costs 30p.....so......the school should spend 30 * 30 = 900p for the prizes

So......the school should raise 2400 - 900 = 1500p if 120 people play the game

1 point) during a winter season at one ski resort, there are two roads from area a to area b and two roads from area b to area
miss Akunina [59]
Probability that both roads from a to b are blocked is the product of the individual probabilities, i.e.
P(~ab)=0.25*0.25=0.0625
Similarly
P(~bc)=0.25*0.25=0.0625
Probability that EITHER one or both of ab and bc are blocked is the sum of the probabilities:
P(~ab ∪ ~bc)=0.0625+0.0625=0.125
(recall that one cannot travel from a to c if either ab or bc is blocked.)

Therefore the probability that there exists an open route from a to c
= P(ac) = 1-P(~ab ∪ ~bc)
= 1 - 0.125
=0.875
