The correct answer is A) He attacked Confederate lines on all fronts.

What Union General George Meade did that enabled his forces to win at Gettysburg on the third day of battle was "He attacked Confederate lines on all fronts."

The third day of the Battle of Gettysburg was fought on July 3, 1863.

George Meade had been appointed to lead the Army of the Potomac, in the Gettysburg battle. He and his troops repelled the combat of the Confederated troops until the third day. This tactic worked out well, and Meade troops defeated the troops of Northern Virginia, led by General Robert E.Lee. Lee had to retreat.

The other options of the question were B) He hit Lee's forces with artillery. C) He guessed what Lee was going to do. D) He brought in unexpected reinforcements

"America from a military point-of-view means nothing, and again nothing, and for a third time nothing."—From a high-ranking Germ
Rudik [331]

The correct answer is D) The Selective Service Act increased the size and strength of the U.S. military.

The development that may have changed this perspective by the end of 1918 was the Selective Service Act increased the size and strength of the U.S. military.

The United States Army was not respected before 1917 in the international arena, as the German Officer quote says. But things changed after the signing of the Selective Service Act that increased the size and strength of the U.S. military. The Selective Draft Act was enacted on May 18, 1917. It allowed the federal government of the United States to organize a professional national Army to send it to World War 1. The act was drafted by General Hugh S. Jhonson.

What was the effect of the destruction of buffalo on native Americans?
pashok25 [27]
Years ago Native Americans discovered what they believed was a gold mine. They noticed a herd of 30 to 60 million Buffalo's roaming the plains. The Native Americans hunted the buffalo so they can maintain an accurate amount of food. By the 1700's the Native Americans tamed some of the buffalo, which made hunting easier. The Native Americans moved with the herds so they can have a good supply of food. The Native people used different methods of hunting. One method use is called the Dog Soldier. A group of Native people who are called this, push some of the herd over a cliff so some of the animals would die. During winter they would chance the larger animals onto frozen lakes and slaughter them. The ice made it difficult for the buffalo to run. Warriors did the killing. The woman were responsible for getting the meat. The rest of the buffalo was used for clothing, shelter and weapons. Native American knew that their survival depended on the buffalo. They never killed too many. They only killed wanted they needed and celebrated the life of the buffalo after.
