Maybe start with them hanging out like usual. Maybe at a diner or a little cafe and decide that they’re going to do something They could be playing video games or board games at ones house and decide to go explore or something.

Like the first person said maybe just have them hanging out with each other and they’re having a lot of fun and then they spend the rest of the day just wandering around and having the night of their life playing games or going to an amusement park or something.

Which is NOT an example that Gordimer uses to support her main idea?
Zinaida [17]
The answer is B.
It cannot be A since in Gordimer's "Occasion for Loving" Gideon conveys a Black character who openly struggles with his White relationships. He knows he will never have freedom to love Ann.
It cannot be C since in "The Lying Days" traces of how her own mother took care of Black African children with her own daycare center were highlighted.

Letter B is denied in "No Time Like the Present" wherein Steve and Jabu fight against the poor education system the South African government offers.

What is the verb phrase and the subject phrase in the sentence The Hawaiian islands are also known for their lush, exotic scenery
lbvjy [14]

In the case of this sentence we have an example of a Passive Voice Sentence:

The Hawaiian Islands are also known for their lush, exotic scenery

In which the verb phrase is are also known. “Also” in this case is just an adverb modifying the verb phrase. This last is compounded by the verb To Be in the present form and the perfective form of the main verb (know).

On the other hand, in this example of the passive, the Subject Phrase is The Hawaiian Islands which are the recipients of the action performed in the Verb Phrase by an unknown/covert agent which is not mentioned in this sentence.
