Average speed=total distance / total time....

s=25/1.5=50/3mph  (16 2/3 mph)

So you traveled an average of 2/3 mph greater than your record pace...

Hello :3

d = rt or distance = rate times time. You want your answer in miles per hour so convert 90 minutes to 1.5 hours.  Now plug in the values:
25mi = r*1.5hrs.
r = 25/1.5 = 16.667mph.

This is greater than 16mph, so did you really break your record ?

What does it mean for a variable to have coefficients that are equal but opposite
barxatty [35]
A coefficient goes before a variable and is a constant. When the coefficients are equal but opposite it means you have an even function.

Find the SUm of the infinite series.
givi [52]

I'll do problem 13 to get you started.

The expression 4\left(\frac{2^n}{7^n}\right) is the same as 4\left(\frac{2}{7}\right)^n

Then we can do a bit of algebra like so to change that n into n-1

4\left(\frac{2}{7}\right)^n\\\\4\left(\frac{2}{7}\right)^n*1\\\\4\left(\frac{2}{7}\right)^n*\left(\frac{2}{7}\right)^{0}\\\\4\left(\frac{2}{7}\right)^n*\left(\frac{2}{7}\right)^{1-1}\\\\4\left(\frac{2}{7}\right)^n*\left(\frac{2}{7}\right)^{1}*\left(\frac{2}{7}\right)^{-1}\\\\4*\left(\frac{2}{7}\right)^{1}\left(\frac{2}{7}\right)^n*\left(\frac{2}{7}\right)^{-1}\\\\\frac{8}{7}\left(\frac{2}{7}\right)^{n-1}\\\\

This is so we can get the expression in a(r)^(n-1) form

  • a = 8/7 is the first term of the geometric sequence
  • r = 2/7 is the common ratio

Note that -1 < 2/7 < 1, which satisfies the condition that -1 < r < 1. This means the infinite sum converges to some single finite value (rather than diverge to positive or negative infinity).

We'll plug those a and r values into the infinite geometric sum formula below

S = a/(1-r)

S = (8/7)/(1 - 2/7)

S = (8/7)/(5/7)

S = (8/7)*(7/5)

S = 8/5

S = 1.6

------------------------

Answer in fraction form = 8/5

Answer in decimal form = 1.6

Identify the equation that describes the line in slope-intercept form.
Fittoniya [83]

Answer:

y=-2x-5

Step-by-step explanation:

slope (m)= -2, point (-4,3) put in y=mx+B

3 (y)= -2 [m](-4) + B

3=-2 (-4)+B. - multiple -2 and -4

3= 8 +B. - two negatives. multipled gives you a positive

3=8+B. - subtract 8

-8 -8

-5=b

y= -2x-5

Sam had a water bottle it can hold 0.3 liters how many milliliters can it hold
kow [346]
I believe it is 300 milliliters, because liters are 1000 times bigger than milliliters.  I hope I am correct.
