Answer:

x= -2

Step-by-step explanation:

9(x-1)=7x-13    1)  do distributive property

9x-9=7x-13 2) add nine to both sides which means you would take out the 9 since -9 and 9 cancel out each other and add 9 to -13

9x=7x-4 3) subtract 7x from both sides which means you would remove the 7x since -7x and 7x cancel out each other and subtract 7x from 9x

2x=-4               4) divide both sides by 2

x= -2

Sorry if this was confusing

A change machine changes dollar bills into quarters and nickels. If you receive 12 coins after inserting a dollar bill, how many
Rudik [331]
Well, given that a quarter equals 5 nickels, we can reason that, in order to get 12 coins, we would have to get 10 nickels (equals 50 cents) and 2 quarters (the other 50 cents, to make a dollar).

You didn't say whether you needed this expressed in a mathematical formula, but knowing the answer already, it shouldn't be hard to come up with one if necessary.

Hope this helps.

What is the area of the shaded region below?
7 m
30 m
7 m
21 m
Rama09 [41]

Answer:

322.28

A

Step-by-step explanation:

Area of the rectangle

L = 30

W = 21

Area = 30 * 21

Area = 630

Area of the circles

Radius = 7 m

Area = pi r^2

Area = 3.14 * 7^2

Area = 153.86 m^2

Area of both circles = 307.72

Area of the Shaded Region

Area of shaded region = area of the rectangle - area of 2 circles.

Area of Shaded Region = 630 - 307.72

Area of Shaded Region = 322.28
