The US Geological Survey’s Astrogeology Science Center collaborated with NASA as well as the Lunar Planetary Institute to produce the “Unified Geologic Map of the Moon”. This is the first Comprehensive Geologic Map of that satellite, and it required data from six Apollo-era regional maps as well as more recent information from satellite missions to be able to create such a detailed image of the moons´surface.
