The role that the mosquito played is that the mosquito was carrying the organism/infection so once it bit Jane, Jane got infected. (Not sure is that’s what your asking but that’s the best I can explain it.)

Dorsal means the back side, I always remember it because I think of a dorsal fin on a dolphin and how it is on their back.
Also the cranial cavity is your brain area which leads to your spinal cord which is in the back side of the body.
I think tap dancing is an aerobic exercise.
