Answer: 60 % - percent of increase

Step-by-step explanation:

Hi, to answer this question we have to analyze the information given:

 • Original number of cups: 5
 • New number of cups: 8

For the first part, because the original number of cups increases, the percent of change is an increase.

To find the number:

(new number -original number ) / (original number) =

Replacing with the values given:

(8-5) /5 = 0.6 (decimal form)

To obtain the percentage we have to multiply it by 100:

0.6 x 100 =60%

In conclusion, we have a 60 percent of increase.

Hey there!

You can plug this into the slope equation to find the slope.

m= (y2-y1)/(x2-x1)

Plug in two points. I chose (0,4) and (1,7).

m= (7-4)/(1-0)

m= (3)/(1)

m= 3

3 is your answer.

I hope this helps!
