He has 10 students.
If he give 2 each, that's 20 pencils, but he has 10 left.
If he give 3 each, that's 30. No pencils left over.

Olegator [25]

Answer:

The phrase "not to stir from the house" refers to Montressor's command that they remain at home

Explanation:

The phrase above is used by Montressor in the excerpt to command his attendants not to leave the house but instead to remain there until his return.

Unfortunately, the attendants immediately turned their backs after Montressor had left the house and they went out, leaving the home unattended.

For questions 1-8, read the text below and decide which answer (A,B or C) best fits each gap.
Mariulka [41]

He doesn't care if he isn't picked to start the game. He usually comes on as a sub in the second half and he often scores a goal in the final minutes. He knows that he can add something extra and when we're lost and there are 10 minutes left to the final whistle, he seems to get that adrenaline rush and just wants the ball to show what he can do. I guess he's our secret weapon- Super-sub Sully!

List of answer:

1. A

2. C

3. A

4. C

5. A

6. C

7. B

8. C

This excerpt tells the story of a substitute player who is always picked to play in matches almost at the end of them. He is considered a secret weapon who is able to give his team the victory they need. As this is a narrative construction written in the present tense, we must always respect the best grammatical choices in order to have a well-written piece.

For this reason, in questions 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 7 and 8 we must choose the verbs that are conjugated with the third person singular subject ("he", in this case) and in 6 with the first person plural subject ("we", in this case).

What is the central or main idea of Interview with Marielle Tsukamoto?
Paladinen [302]
I am pretty sure that the main idea of the Interview with Marielle Tsukamoto was Japanese American internment. During the whole interview Marielle Tsukamoto tells about how she spent her time in an internment camp, shares her ideas about American citizens,  her feelings of leaving lovely place, mentioned all her saddest memories and  happy moments and praises her mother, I recommend you to read this article, it’s not a big one.
