Which idea did Wilson oppose during the treaty meetings at Versailles? (5 points)

History

Answer:

Reparations from Germany.

Explanation:

The <u>Treaty of Versailles was produced as a result of the peace treaty drawn up to stop the First World War</u>. But more important than that, it accuses the nation of Germany as the sole reason for all the loss of life and damage, solely putting the blame on the European nation.

But despite the agreement, President Woodrow Wilson did not seem to agree with the treaty points laid out. One such point is the need to make Germany pay for all that it had caused. Contrary to his famous <u>"Fourteen Points" </u>speech where he stressed the need for "peace without victory", the treaty blamed Germany and made her pay for the damage. His <u>proposed scheme of peaceful negotiations between the parties failed with the demand for reparation payments from Germany. </u>

Maksim231197 [3]

Answer:

The right answers are:

Lenin and Trotsky.

Explanation:

Vladimir Ilich Lenin was the main Bolshevik leader and Leon Trotsky was another major activist. Both were instrumental in the Bolshevik Party´s quest for power and opposition to the "bourgeois" government of moderate socialist Aleksandr Kerensky that ruled Russia for a few months after the fall of the last Tsar. His government was brought down by the successful Bolshevik revolt in St. Petersburg on November 7, 1917 (October in Russian old style).

Use the text to answer the question.
Alecsey [184]

This excerpt reflects that (c.) the document provides protections for English citizens but does not provide equal protections.

Magna Carta was a document issued in the 13th century and it established that everyone, even the monarch, was subject to the law. It was mainly designed to solve the problems that had arisen between the King and the rebel barons.<u> This excerpt shows that, although the document protects the English citizen that commits an offence, it does not offer the same protection that it offers to the man that belongs the highest class</u> <u>since it establishes that, unlike ordinary citizens, earls and barons can only be judged by people that belong to their same social class</u>. The reason why the document offers unequal protection is because <u>Magna Carta had been designed by the barons to ensure that their own rights were protected</u>.
