Answer:

D)determines the inventory on hand only at the end of the accounting period.

Explanation:

Due to the fact of inflation, change of prices over time, a periodic inventory system does not provide a better record over the cost of inventory because it is only determined once in the accounting period, usually at the end of it.

Meanwhile, a perpetual inventory system keeps a record showing the inventory at all time. That is every time a sale is made, cost of goods sold (cogs) is determined.

So if a business does not need to wait until the end of the accounting period to check (cogs), it is better to use a perpetual system.

Numerical fill-in-the-blank. Marv works at a bakery. During a shift at work, Marv can decorate either 8 wedding cakes or 13 chee
Alchen [17]

Answer: 1.6 cheesecakes

Explanation: Opportunity cost is simply the cost of a forgone alternative. It is the cost of an opportunity forgone (and the loss of the benefits that could be received from that opportunity); the most valuable forgone alternative.

If Marv can decorate 8 wedding cakes or 13 cheesecakes, it follows that the opportunity cost of making 8 wedding cakes is 13 cheesecakes. The question asks the cost of making a cake. This is given by:

13/8 = 1.625 cheesecakes

= 1.6 cheesecakes to the nearest tenth as the answer.

The shareholders' equity of Green Corporation includes $288,000 of $1 par common stock and $480,000 par of 6% cumulative preferr
Sever21 [200]

Answer:

$62,160

Explanation:

The calculation of amount of dividends is shown below:-

Arrears in Preferred Stock Dividend

= $480,000 × 6% × 2 - $28,000 - $28,000

= $57,600 - $28,000 - $28,000

= $1,600

Current Preferred Stock Dividend = Common stock × cumulative preferred stock percentage

= $480,000 × 6%

= $28,800

The amount of dividends common shareholders = Cash dividends - Current Preferred Stock Dividend - Arrears in Preferred Stock Dividend

= $58,000 - $28,800 - $1,600

= $62,160
