Sarah should revise her hypothesis by analysing the data that refuted it. After doing so, she may notice that she has overlooked some factors. She can  also see that her hyposthesis covers up a narrower scope; the data that refuted it may be out her scope. By analysing these issues, she will have to either broaden the scope or narrow it down. Once she has done either, she will have to test the hypothesis again.
