Suppression involves the conscious desire to forget i-e consciously keeping unacceptable feeling and thought out of awareness.
<u>For example </u>: A student is taking an examination is upset about an argument with his friend but puts it out of mind so he can finish the test.
Repression : Unconsciously keepin unacceptable feeling out of awareness (differs from suppression in that you are not aware you are doing) .You forget, then you forget that you forgot.
