Edgar Allan Poe create the mood of melancholy in this excerpt of his poem, "The Raven"? "Deep into the darkness peering, long I stood there, wondering, fearing Doubting, dreaming dreams no mortals ever dared to dream before; But the silence was unbroken, an the stillness gave no token, And the only word there spoken was the whispered word, "Lenore?" This I whispered, and an echo murmured back the word, "Lenore!" Merely this, and nothing more."

Which statement is the best call to action for a speech trying to persuade an audience to vote?
natta225 [31]

Answer: use rhetorical questions such as “you’re a voter aren’t you?”

Explanation: asking them if they are a voter without them having to reply allows them to question if they are. Being a ‘voter’ is an aspect of your character meaning you are an upstanding citizen and socially active so it will encourage people to vote to be that person

write three to four sentences in which you compare and contrast seamus heaney’s poem “digging” and the haiku by bashō
vodomira [7]

In terms of structure, the poems are very different. The haiku is only three lines long and discusses a single moment in time; “Digging” is much longer, has many stanzas, and jumps between time periods. There are some ways in which the poems are similar, however. For example, the speakers of both poems discuss how their writing is related to and inspired by farming or gardening.
