1. Work out area of rectangle = 9x8=72ft^2
2. Work out base of triangle
13-9=4ft
3. Work out the area of triangle =
4x8=32ft^2 (you don’t need to half it as the base is halved)
4. Add them together=
72+32=104ft^2
