Depends on what the coordinates are to get an exact answer but you go down on your y axis 3 units (so if it was at 0 it would become -3) and to the right on your x axis, which means the numbers are increasing ( so if it was 3 it would become 5.)

Help!!!!!! Find x and y so the quadrilateral is a parallelogram.
iren [92.7K]

Answer:

Conclusion:

  • The value of x = 7
  • The value of y = 4

Step-by-step explanation:

Given

  • The parallelogram PQRS

We know that the diagonals of a parallelogram bisect each other.

Therefore,

  • RT = TP

Given RT = x and TP = 5x-28, so

x = 5x-28

5x = x+28

5x-x = 28

4x = 28

divide boh sides by 4

4x/4 = 28/4

x = 7

Thus, the value of x = 7

Similarly,

QT = TS

Given QT = 5y and TS = 2y+12, so

5y = 2y+12

5y-2y = 12

3y = 12

divide both sides by 3

3y/3 = 12/3

y = 4

Thus, the value of y = 4

Conclusion:

  • The value of x = 7
  • The value of y = 4

Find the indicated limit, if it exists. limit of f of x as x approaches 0 where f of x equals 5x minus 8 when x is less than 0 a
vlabodo [156]
The limit does not exist. Why? Because the left hand limit DOES NOT equal the right hand limit. Let’s double check:

We could use -0.000001 to represent the left hand limit. This is less than 0. We plug in 5x - 8

5(-0.000001) - 8
-0.000005 - 8
-8.000005
If we would continue the limit (extend the zeros to infinity), we would get exactly
-8
That is our left hand limit.

Our right hand limit will be represented by 0.000001. This is greater than 0. We plug in abs(-4 - x)

abs(-4 - (0.000001))
abs(-4.000001)
4.000001
If we would continue the limit (extend the zeros to infinity), we would get exactly
4

4 does not equal -8, therefore

The limit does not exist

A large banquet room holds 288 people with each table seating 8. How
Lisa [10]

Answer:

The answer is 36

Step-by-step explanation:

  1. First you have to divide 288 by 8 and
  2. then you have to see how many times 8 will go into 2 it can't so see how many times it will go into 28 which is 3 and you will get 24
  3. then you subtract 24 from 28 and you get 4
  4. then bring down the 8 an it 48 now see how many times 8 will go into 48 which is 6 times and you get 48
  5. then you subtract 48 by 48 and you get 0 so the answer is 36
