Reading Mr. Underwood's editorial about Tom Robinson, Scout concludes, "Tom had been given due process of law to the day of his
Zanzabum

In this quote, Scout wants to highlight how difficult it was for a black man to get access to justice at the time. She tells us that Tom Robinson had been given "due process of law." This implies that Tom Robinson was treated fairly in the eyes of the law because he had had a lawyer and a trial.

However, Scout also highlights the fact that, besides these advantages, Robinson's trial was definitely not fair and just. In fact, he was harshly judged because of his skin colour, which many people took to be almost evidence of Robinson's guilt. Therefore, as Scout highlights, Tom had "lost" in front of his peers, and he was never able to gain support from people who were against him from the beginning. Tom had lost the case in the "secret court of men's heart."

Timed Writing: Rhetorical Analysis
m_a_m_a [10]

In “America Needs Its Nerds,” by L. Fridman, addresses an issue that still exists in today's society: that students perceived as intelligent are ridiculed. In his exhortation Leonid argued that the curious and smart scholars need not to be ashamed of their intellect, and that society needs to change their attitude towards these types of people because it comes off as pessimistic. The writer combats these views with rhetoric, parallelism, and strategic diction. Early in the writing, the author writes “intellectually curious and academically serious,” which is a use of parallelism since the words are similar in its pronunciation and grammatically overall. He uses this rhetoric again in lines 20 thru 23, as he examines the stereotyping students face and are forced into, for being serious about their academics. He Mr. Firdman uses dition throughout his essay to more than likely suggest that he is or has been considered a nerd as well. His very descriptive word structure is evident throughout, with lines 20 thru 32 containing connotations and imagery to evoke pathos in the audience with words such as ‘grave’ and ‘haunt’.

An organization in _____________ high level executives make most decisions and pass them down to lower levels for implementation
serg [7]

Answer:

Centralized organization

Explanation:

In a centralized organization there is a concentration of all authority at the top of the company hierarchy (at the top). This is when most decisions are made by leaders, ie people who are strategically positioned at their higher hierarchical levels. This causes a reduction in the centers that will make the decisions. From this point of view, centralization means that there is an authority that will decide what is needed, and that person is located at the very top of the hierarchical pyramid of the company.

In other words, in this type of organization, high-level executives make most decisions and move them to lower levels for implementations.
