Homeostatic control mechanisms are typically controlled instinctively by the nervous system.

The nervous system maintains homeostasis by regulating and controlling the other components of the body. A deviation from a usual set points functions as a stimulus to a receptor that transmits nerve impulses to a monitoring center in the brain.

Along with the nervous system, the endocrine system synchronizes the functions of the body to sustain homeostasis at the time of exercise and rest.

Answer:

The correct answer is- the nervous system.

Explanation:

The nervous system regulates the homeostasis by controlling various organs and regulating them. Homeostasis is the ability of the body to maintain its internal environment in equilibrium.

If any particular internal system deviates from a certain set point the deviation acts as the trigger or stimuli to a receptor that transmits the nerve impulse to a control center located in the brain. Control central acts accordingly on the basis of the stimuli received and directs to an effector and specific response occur. Hypothalamus is an important part of the brain that plays very important role in homeostasis.

Thus, the correct answer is - The nervous system.

Most animals with backbones, vertebrates, have a similar body plan: skull, ribs, two pairs of limbs, tail. What does this sugges
daser333 [38]

The correct answer is E. Vertebrates are all related to a common ancestor

Explanation:

According to biology and evolution, organisms from different species but that share similarities in morphology (body structures) as well as in genetics often have a phylogenetic relationship which means they descend from the same organism or share a common ancestor. This applies to multiple taxonomical levels including classes such as mammals or birds as it has been proved each of this derived from a common ancestor. Therefore, the similarity in the body structure (morphology) in all mammals suggest vertebrates are related to a common ancestor and as they evolved from this, they share similarities not only in terms of morphology but also in genetics.

The microorganisms that inhabit the sludge at the bottom of a lake would live in which microbiota zone
Margaret [11]

Answer:

Explanation:

In a lake, oxygenic phototrophs produce new organic material as  well as O₂. If primary production rates are very high, the resultant  excessive organic matter production can lead to bottom-water O₂ depletion from respiration and the development of anoxic conditions.  This in turn stimulates anaerobic metabolisms, including  anaerobic respirations and fermentations.

Organic matter that is not  consumed in surface layers sinks to the depths and is decomposed  by anaerobes.
