10(d+3)–(−9d–4)=d–5+3 <br><br> What value of d makes the equation TRUE?
rewona [7]
ANSWER

The value of d that makes the equation true is

d =  - 2

EXPLANATION

The given equation is

10(d + 3) - ( - 9d - 4) = d - 5 + 3

We expand brackets to obtain,

10d + 30 + 9d  + 4= d - 5 + 3

We group like terms to obtain,

10d +9d - d =  - 30 - 5 + 3 - 4

This simplifies to

18d =  - 36

We divide both sides by 18 to get,

d =  - 2

I need help with 1-9 please!
Margaret [11]

1-First let’s list the numbers between 210 to 220, except the even ones since they’re a multiple of 2:

211; 213; 215; 217; 219

Let’s remove 213, and 219 because they’re multiples of 3 (2+1+3=6; 2+1+9=12), 215 is multiple of 5, so let’s remove it.

That leave’s is with 211, and 217.

We can remove 217, because it’s a multiple of 7, leaving us with 211.

2- It’s deductive reasoning, because you started with a more general idea.

3- {-7, -6, -5, -4, -3, -2, -1, 0, 1}

4- {x e R, x>=-2}

5-{-1, 0, 1}

6- {x∣-4≤ x ≤6}

7- [-20, ♾ )

8- On a number line, make a circle around -1, and continue the line to minus infinity.

9- On a number line, make a circle on -3, and continue to minus infinity. Make a ring on 0, and continue to infinity.

Varvara68 [4.7K]

Answer:

The height of tower is 322.7 feet.

Step-by-step explanation:

Given

Distance between a building and tower= 250 feet

BCDE is a rectangle .Therefore, we have  BC=ED and CD=BE=250 feet

In triangle ABE

tan\theta=\frac{perpendicula \; side }{hypotenuse}

\theta=38^{\circ}

tan38^{\circ}=\frac{AB}{BE}

\frac{AB}{250}=0.781

AB=0.781\times250

AB=195.25 feet

In triangle EDC

\theta=27^{\circ}

tan27^{\circ}=\frac{ED}{CD}

\frac{ED}{250}=0.509

ED=250\times0.509

ED=127.25 feet

ED=BC=127.25 feet

The height of tower=AB+BC

The height of tower=195.25+127.25=322.5 feet
