Answer:

a. natural environment.

Explanation:

Many of the technological advances, most notably the ones that came about during the 20th century, that have made human life possible at such a great scale nowadays have also produced environmental problems that threaten the very existence, not only of humans on Earth, but of all life on the planet. The clearest example of an environmental problem today is global warming which many scientists argue has reached a phase of no return, which means that its consequences will be felt all around the world and there is nothing that can be done to stop them (which does not mean we should not reconsider our lifestyles and our systems of production).

Which of the following processes would impact the cycling of carbon between land and air?
frez [133]
The process of deforestation impacts the cycling of carbon between land and air.  Deforestation occurs when large areas of trees and other vegetation are removed from an area in order to make room for people or commercial enterprises.  As humans remove trees by burning, more carbon moves to the atmosphere as carbon dioxide, adding to the “Greenhouse Effect” and contributing to global warming.

Type one to two sentences that best summarize(s) the Great Migration.
gayaneshka [121]

Answer:

The Great Migration was the relocation of more than 6 million African Americans from the rural South to the cities of the North, Midwest and West from about 1916 to 1970. Driven from their homes by unsatisfactory economic opportunities and harsh segregationist laws, many blacks headed north, where they took advantage of the need for industrial workers that arose during the First World War.
