Mathematics

The answer is 41 since you would first do 2*5=10 so the equation in the parentheses would simplify to 50-10=40 then you would do 40+16/16 which would equal 41 because 16/16 simply is 1 so (50-2*5)+16/16=41

To rent a bounce house: At Mike's Bounce Shop costs $30 plus $2 per hour. At Jose's Bounce Rentals, it costs $12 plus $8 per hou
ANEK [815]

Answer: After 3 hours both will have the same cost.

Step-by-step explanation:

Let x = Number of hours and y be the total cost.

Total cost = Initial cost + (cost per hour)(Number of hours)

At Mike's Bounce Shop,

Total cost (y)= 30+2x

At Jose's Bounce Rentals,

Total cost(y) =  12+8x

When both shops have the same cost, then

12+8x=30+2x\\\\\Rightarrow\ 8x-2x=30-12\\\\\Rightarrow\ 6x=18\\\\\Rightarrow\ x=3

Total cost = 12+8(3)=12+24=$36

Hence, After 3 hours both will have the same cost.

Mnenie [13.5K]
There aren't any functions listed to choose from, but it should look something like the following:

E= total earnings that day
h= # hours worked that day
n= # people served that day

E= 7h + 5n

substitute 6 hours in for h

E= 7(6) + 5n

E= 42 + 5n OR E= 5n + 42

Hope this helps! :)

a water tank holds 280 gallons. two percent of the water is lost at stream. how many gallons remain to be used ?
mart [117]
If you would like to know how many gallons remain to be used, you can do this using the following steps:

lost: 2% of 280 gallons = 2% * 280 gallons = 2/100 * 280 = 5.6 gallons

280 gallons - 5.6 gallons = 274.4 gallons

The correct result would be 274.4 gallons.
