Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

Alright, lets get started.

Please refer the diagram I have attached.

Suppose the base of right triangle sail is b

Suppose the height of right triangle sail is h

It is given that, it is three times higher as it is wide.

h=3b

Area of right triangle is A = \frac{1}{2}*b*h

6=\frac{1}{2}*b*h

Plugging the value of h in terms of b

6=\frac{1}{2}*b*(3b)

b^2=4

b=2

Hence height h = 3*2 = 6

Hecne the height of sail is 6 meters.  :  Answer

Hope it will help :)

Thirty percent of the beads in a bag are blue. One bead is randomly chosen and replaced. Then a second bead is chosen. What is t
Bingel [31]

Answer:

Answer: 12%

Step-by-step explanation:

To find the probability of picking not only a sphere but one that is blue as well, you need to multiply the probabilities of both events because this would show the probability of getting the second event if the first is gotten:

= Probability of sphere * Probability that sphere is blue

= 40% * 30%

= 12%

Determine whether the normal sampling distribution can be used. The claim is p < 0.015 and the sample size is n
Svetradugi [14.3K]

Complete Question

Determine whether the normal sampling distribution can be used. The claim is p < 0.015 and the sample size is n=150

Answer:

Normal sampling distribution can not be used

Step-by-step explanation:

From the question we are told that

    The  null hypothesis is  H_o  :  p =  0.015

     The  alternative hypothesis is    H_a  :  p  <  0.015

The  sample size is  n= 150

Generally in order to use  normal sampling distribution

     The value  np  \ge  5

So

         np =  0.015 * 150

         np =  2.25

Given that  np < 5   normal sampling distribution  can not be used
