Answer:

The correct answer is B.C

Explanation:

A cladogram is a diagram used to show the evolutionary relationship between different species and used to find out their most common recent ancestor that means from whom they are evolved or descended.

Each node represents the common ancestor which descends into two branching lines. These two branching line shows the two descendants from the same common ancestor. So each node represents the common ancestor.

Therefore in this question, C is the most recent common ancestor for species 4 and A is the most recent common ancestor for species 1 but A and B is can not be an ancestor of species 4 because number 4 species have descended earlier than 3, 2, and 1 species as shown in the cladogram.

As number 1 species is the last descendent so it has all A,B, C and D as its common ancestor but 4th species has only C and D as its common ancestor. So as C is the most common recent ancestor of species 4, therefore, the most common recent ancestor for species 1 and 4 is C.

Therefore the correct answer is B.C

when a second message is necessary for extracellular communication to be activated, it is provided by:
stich3 [128]

Adenosine monophosphate is a second message that is sent when extracellular communication is required (AMP).

A nucleotide is adenosine monophosphate (AMP), commonly referred to as 5'-adenylic acid. AMP is an ester of phosphoric acid and the nucleotide adenosine and consists of a phosphate group, the sugar ribose, and the nucleobase adenine. It takes the form of the prefix adenylyl- when acting as a substituent.

Adenosine monophosphate has been shown to hasten healing, shorten the shingles pain's length, and stop the progression of postherpetic neuralgia. More. An organic substance produced in the body called adenosine monophosphate (AMP) has been shown to be useful in treating shingles outbreaks.

What is the difference between reduced transmission and incomplete penetrance?
Ket [755]

Answer:

While penetrance is a quantitative estimate, reduced expressivity (transmission) is a qualitative estimate.

Explanation:

Penetration

Some individuals who carry the deleterious allele (for example, in an autosomal dominant disease) do not show the expected phenotype: in that case we say that the penetrance is incomplete. This is the case in which the number of individuals presenting an abnormal phenotype is less than the number of individuals carrying the mutation causing this phenotype. Penetrance is a quantitative estimate.

For example, in the case of neurofibromatosis type I, its penetration is estimated to be 80% although it is often difficult to detect mild variants of the disease. Therefore, in these cases it would be useful to be able to detect the different mutations in the affected families and thus establish more precisely the value of their penetrance.

Expressiveness (transmission)

The observed phenotype can be more or less severe among the different affected individuals. In this case it is said that the deleterious allele has a variable expressiveness. Expressiveness is a qualitative estimate.

In the case of Marfan syndrome, for the same mutation present in a family, some individuals show a severe form of the disease that affects the cardiovascular, ocular and skeletal system while others show only a high height and arachnodactyly, without eye problems or of aortic aneurysm.

Reduced penetrance and incomplete expressivity are mainly described in autosomal dominant diseases.

Do not confuse an isolated case due to poor penetrance with a sporadic case due to the appearance of a mutation.

Identify the interaction used to describe each type of interdependence among organisms.
GalinKa [24]

The interaction between red-billed oxpecker and impala is mutualism. The interaction between titan triggerfish and smaller fishes is commensalism.

Mutualism and Commensalism

Mutualism is a form of symbiotic interaction between two organisms in which both organisms benefit from the interaction without being negatively affected in any way.

Commensalism, on the other hand, is a form of interaction between two organisms in which one (the commensal) gains and the other neither benefits nor lose from the interaction.

The red-billed oxpecker gets its food off the fur of the Impala. The tick that serves as food for red-billed oxpecker is a parasite that harms the impala. Thus, the red-billed oxpecker gets its food while the impala gets the ticks that can harm it removed. A mutually beneficial relationship.

The activities of the Titan triggerfish benefit smaller fishes. The Titan triggerfish neither benefits nor gets harmed in the interaction. A form of commensalism.

State three examples of human activities that could endanger botana curus
statuscvo [17]

Botana curus is a plant that produces curus which is a substance that is used to cure different kind of cancer.

This is an endangered species that cannot be grown in the laboratory. The ability to produce curus in the laboratory is not feasible.

The human activities that could have endangered botana curus is:

Pollution: It lead to slow down the rate of growth of the plant.

Overexploitation: The over use of plant for its medicinal purpose.

Habitat: The natural habitat of the plant has been changed due to various human activities.
