Along with strike, individuals also boycotted (aka refused to buy) the products. The goal in doing this would be to hurt the amount of profit individuals made of grapes. These tactics were used for 5 years, and resulted in a positive effect for the UFWOC, as they were able to gain their first written contract with the growers.
