Well starting with just the first statement b is congruent to c by vertical... yes. because they are formed by the intersection and non adjacent.  so A and C are still okay.

answer choice B on the other hand b is congruent to h by corresponding that is not true.. one they are not corresponding and two they are supplementary because they are same side exterior angles.  so you can eliminate B.

now the next line in answer choice a.. c and e are supplementary by ss interior... yes that is correct.
now the next line in answer choice c.. d and h are supplementary.. that is wrong.. d and h are corresponding and therefore are congruent so you can eliminate answer choice C.

just checking the rest.. e and h are congruent by vertical.. correct.. and finally substitution to finish the proof.  So A is the correct proof.

If x + 2/7x = 9, then x=
Zigmanuir [339]

Answer:   " x  =  7 " .

__________________________________________

Step-by-step explanation:

__________________________________________

Given:

x + (2/7)x = 9 ;  Solve for "x" ;

Note:

Start by simplifying the "left hand side of the equation:

 x +\frac{2}{7}x =1x +\frac{2}{7}x =(1\frac{2}{7}) x =\frac{(7*1)+2}{7}x  = \frac{(7+2)}{7}x = \frac{9}{7}x ;

__________________________________________

Now, rewrite the equation:

__________________________________________

   \frac{9}{7}x =9 ;    Solve for "x" ;

We now multiply each side of the equation by "7" ;

to get rid of the "denominator" within the "fraction value"

  on the "left-hand side" of the equation:

  7 *\frac{9}{7}x = 9 * 7  ;

On the "left-hand side" of the equation:

 The "7's" cancel out to "1's" ;  since "7÷7 = 1 " ;

   And we are left with "9x" on the "left-hand side" of the equation.

On the "right-hand side" on the equation; we find that: "9 * 7 = 63 ."

   So; we can rewrite the equation:

          9x = 63 ;

To solve for "x" ; we divide each side of the equation by:  "9" ;

       to isolate "x" on one side of the equation;

         & to solve for "x" ;

          9x / 9 = 63 / 9 ;

to get:

             x  =  7 .

Hope this answer—and explanation—is helpful!

  Best wishes to you!

A company purchases shipments of machine components and uses this acceptance sampling plan: Randomly select and test 20 componen
musickatia [10]

Answer: Probability that this whole shipment will be accepted is 0.629

Step-by-step explanation:

The company randomly select and test 20 components and accept the whole batch if there are fewer than 3 defectives.

Applying normal distribution,

z = (x-u)/s

Where

n = number of components that were tested.

s = standard deviation

u = mean = np

p = probability that the component has defect

q = probability that the component does not have defect

x = r = the number of components

From the information given,

p = 8/100 = 0.08

q = 1-q = 1-0.08 = 0.92

n = 20

u = 20×0.08 = 1.6

s = √20 × 0.08 × 0.92 = √1.472

s = 1.21

Probability that this whole shipment will be accepted will be probability that fewer than 3 components have defects. This means that it must be lesser than or equal to 2 components.

P(x lesser than 3) =P(x lesser than or equal to 2). Therefore,

x = 2

z = (2-1.6)/1.21 = 0.33

Looking at the normal distribution table, the corresponding z score is 0.629

The measure on angle 0 is 7pie/4. Measure of its reference angle is __ °, and the tan 0 is ___
soldier1979 [14.2K]

Answer:

Reference angle is \frac{\pi }{4} and tan\frac{7\pi }{4} = -1

Step-by-step explanation:

\frac{7\pi }{4} lies in the 4th quadrant

and reference angle for angle in 4th quadrant is 2π - x , where x is the angle given.

and reference angle for \frac{7\pi }{4} is

2π-\frac{7\pi }{4} = \frac{\pi }{4}

and tan\frac{7\pi }{4} = -tan \frac{\pi }{4}=  -1

Since tan is negative in 4th quadrant ,therefore value will be  negative for the given angle.

Jenna is drawing a sketch of her room. The room is 15 feet long by 12 feet wide. The
SOVA2 [1]

Answer:

4 inches

Step-by-step explanation:

Actual dimensions:

Length = 15 feet

Width = 12 feet

Scale dimensions:

Length = 5 inches

Width = x inches

Write a proportion:

\dfrac{\text{Actual length}}{\text{Scale length}}=\dfrac{\text{Actual width}}{\text{Scale width}}\\ \\ \\\dfrac{15\ feet}{5\ inches}=\dfrac{12\ feet}{x\ inches}\\ \\x=\dfrac{5\ inches\times 12\ feet}{15\ feet}=4\ inches
