The first to find the length of each side, we have to find the value of x :
(4x) + (7x + 2) + (7x+8) = 154

4x + 7x + 7x + 2+8 = 154

18x +10 = 154

18x = 154 - 10

18x = 144

x = \frac{144}{18}

\boxed{x=8}

Solution First side :
(4x)m = (4 \cdot 8)m = 32\ m

Solution Second Side :
(7x+2)m = (7(8)+2)m = 58\ m

Solution Third Side :
(7x+8)m = (7(8)+8)m = 64\ m

4x + 7x + 2 + 7x + 8 = 154
18x = 154 - 10
18x = 144
x = 8

Sides: 32 m, 58 m , 64 m

A scale drawing of a school bus has a scale of 1/2 inch to 5feet. If the length of the school bus is 4 1/2 inches on the scale d
Sedaia [141]
Answer: actual length = 45 ft

Explanation:

Scale drawn:

1/2 inch = 5ft

Meaning that if the drawing scale is 0.5 inch then the actual bus would be 5ft.

If the length of the drawn school bus is 4 1/2 inches. We can write:

1/2 = 5
4 1/2 = x

=> x = (5 x 4 1/2)/1/2
Or x = (5 x 4.5)/0.5
x = 22.5/0.5
x = 45

Therefore the actual length of the bus is 45 ft

Which of the following values are solutions to the inequality -10_>6x-4
qaws [65]

Answer:

3rd option

Step-by-step explanation:

- 10 ≥ 6x - 4 ( add 4 to both sides )

- 6 ≥ 6x , then

6x ≤ - 6 ( divide both sides by 6 )

x ≤ - 1

Thus x = - 1 is a solution to the inequality

Amiraneli [1.4K]

Answer:

PR = 16

SR = 12

Step-by-step explanation:

6/8 = (x-3)/(x+1)

8x-24 = 6x+6

simplify

2x = 30

x = 15

PR = 15 + 1 = 16

SR = 15 - 3 = 12
