The answer is 1/1073741824 or about 9.313 * 10^-10

Assuming the question is about this expression:

(4^{-5})^3

Use the exponent property

(a^b)^c = a^{bc}

to rewrite the expression as

(4^{-5})^3 = 4^{-5\cdot 3} = 4^{-15}

Now, recall that negative exponent behave as positive ones, except you have to invert the number beforehand (flip numerator and denominator). So:

4^{-15} = \left(\frac{1}{4}\right)^{15} = \frac{1}{4^{15}}

If roni and allie work together to mow the field, what part of the field would roni mow?
marissa [1.9K]

Based on the Roni using a lawn mower and Allie pushing one, Roni would be able to mow 0.71 of the field.

<h3>How much of the field would Roni mow?</h3>

Assume that the part of the field that Roni would mow is x.

The relevant equation would be:

x/30 + x/75 = 1

5x/150 + 2x/150 = 1

7x / 150 = 1

x = 21.43

In 30 minutes, Roni would have mowed:

= 21.43 / 30

= 0.71

Full question is:

Roni and Allie are mowing the grass at the soccer field. Roni has a riding lawn mower and can mow the field in 30 minutes. Allie is pushing a lawn mower and can mow the field in 75 minutes.

Two life insurance companies determine their premiums using different formulas:
Pie

Answer:

<em>The age at which both companies charge the same premium is 44 years</em>

Step-by-step explanation:

<u>Graph Solution to System of Equations</u>

One approach to solving systems of equations of two variables is the graph method.

Both equations are plotted in the same grid and we find the intersection point(s) of both graphs. Those are the feasible solutions.

The annual premium p as a function of the client's age a for two companies are given as:

Company A: p= 2a+24

Company B: p= 2.25a+13

The graphs of both functions are shown in the image below.

The red line indicates the formula for Company A and the blue line indicates the formula for Company B.

It can be seen that both lines intersect in the point with approximate coordinates of (44,112).

The age at which both companies charge the same premium is 44 years

A, B &amp; C form the vertices of a triangle.
kirza4 [7]
<h3>Answer:  20.3</h3>

Work Shown:

tan(angle) = opposite/adjacent

tan(B) = AC/AB

tan(67) = x/8.6

8.6*tan(67) = x

x = 8.6*tan(67)

x = 20.2603303460843  ... make sure your calculator is in degree mode

x = 20.3  .... rounding to 3 significant figures
