How can mental math help you find solutions to inequalities?

Mathematics

Answer:

There are many examples the basics are also easy to remember.

Step-by-step explanation:

We can input these for the following equation.

x > 5

(x is greater than 5)

Then compare to - x < 5

(minus x is less than 5)

We try a sum

3x -2 ≤ 1

we can then balance subtract -2

3x ≤ -1

then divide by 3

x= -1 /3

We try another value

3x -2 ≤ 0

1 ≤ 3x

1/3 ≥ x

We can check that each equality fits and alter the number accordingly.

For the first one we are saying it is no greater than 1

For the second we say it is greater than zero.

We are able to prove both have the answer.

Just like when we look for negative percentages and count down we record this as we count in mental math.

The variable z is inversely proportional to x. When x is 19, z has the value 0.10526315789474. What is the value of z when x= 28
telo118 [61]

When two variables are inversely proportional the relation between them can be written as:

z=\frac{k}{x}

Here, k is the constant of proportionality and is always equal to the product of the two variables. So using the given values of z and x, we can find k first.

k=zx\\ \\  k=0.10526315789474(19)\\ \\  k=2

The constant of proportionality for the given inverse proportion comes out to be 2. Using the value of k in the equation, we get:

z=\frac{2}{x}

We have to find the value of z when x=28. So replacing x by 28, we get:

z=\frac{2}{28}\\  \\  z=0.07142857143

Thus, rounding of to nearest thousand the value of z comes out to be 0.071 if x is equal to 28.

Daniel [21]

Answer:

\frac{2^{20} }{3^{8} }

Step-by-step explanation:

Exponent Multiplication Rule :

(\frac{x^{a} }{y^{b} } )^{c} = \frac{x^{ac} }{y^{bc} }

=============================================================

Solving :

⇒ (\frac{2^{5} }{3^{2} } )^{4}

⇒ \frac{2^{5(4)} }{3^{2(4)} }

⇒ \frac{2^{20} }{3^{8} }
