Describe, in your own words, why Elinor was upset with people spreading the rumor that Marianne and Willoughby had

English

Answer:

Elinor was upset was because there was no factual or formal engagement between Marianne and John Willoughby.  She had not seen any confirmation of any kind other than how affectionate they were when around each other.

If there was in fact not any engagement the effect on Marriage could be devastating to her mentality, and her sensibility. She is social with her insightful and quite unrestrained that the prospect of her dealing with no engagement could be extremely detrimental to her well being. Elinor is also not one to gossip or spread rumors so this is quite concerning for her.

To examine the rhythm in Annabelle lee a reader should note
Paul [167]

It has ABAB rhyme scheme

Explanation:

  • The poem 'Annabelle lee' is a ballad, a narrative poem that was designed for recitation or singing. The poem has six stanzas, each having six to eight lines.
  • In the first stanza, which has six lines, the first four lines use traditional ballad stanza form. In the ABAB rhyme scheme, Lines 1 and 3 have four metrical feet, and Lines 2 and 4 have three feet.
  • The poem uses a first-person speaker who is a heartbroken man. Stanza 5 has a different structure, with an additional extra three-foot line; altering the rhythm draws the reader’s attention. The rhyme and rhythm contribute to the overall imagery of a story set “by the sea.” The short lines rhyme with “sea,” ending with a long e, such as “Lee” and “me”;

stepladder [879]

Answer:

Question 1: Does an art object have to serve a function to be art?

This type of question needs an answer from the one reading the question.  However, I feel that an art object doesn't have to serve a function to be art. because art should speak for itself.

Question 2: Are art objects valuable in themselves, without any functions?

Art objects need to operate in some way all art exists for a cause and these motivations make up the functions of art.

I hope this helps, L.E.
