Answer:

amount invested at rate 3 % is $20000

and amount invested at rate 2.75 % is $80000

Explanation:

given data

interest = 3%

four times = 2.75%

total annual income from interest = $2800.

solution

we consider here part of money p1  = x

rate r1 = 3%

and

4 time money p2 = 4x

rate r2 = 2.75 %

so we apply interest formula that is

interest = Principal×Rate×Time

2800 = { x × 0.03 × 1 } + { 4x × 0.0275 × 1 }

solve it we get

x = 20,000

and

and 4x will be = 4 × 20,000 = 80,000

so here

amount invested at rate 3 % is $20000

and amount invested at rate 2.75 % is $80000

zimovet [89]

Answer:

Two activities scheduled to be carried out in parallel and using the same scarce resource are independent.

Explanation:

An Israeli physicist named, Eliyahu M. Goldratt developed the Critical Chain Project Management (CCPM) and introduced it in his book "Critical Chain" in 1997.

The CCPM is a project management methodology used by managers to better manage a project. The CCPM ensures that the project plan is feasible and immune from any uncertainty or statistical fluctuations.

In the CCPM activity network, there are no milestones and all non-critical activities are performed as late as possible.

CCPM adopts the use of drum buffers, so as to ensure extra safety is applied to a project immediately before using constrained resource.

According to Goldratt, two activities scheduled to be carried out in parallel and using the same scarce resource are independent.

dedylja [7]

Answer:

financial advantage of purchasing from outside vendor = $36,000

Explanation:

outside vendor offers 18,000 units at $40 per unit = $720,000

current production costs (for 18,000 units):

  • Direct materials $324,000
  • Direct labor $162,000
  • Variable manufacturing overhead $36,000
  • Fixed manufacturing overhead, traceable $162,000 ($54,000 avoidable)
  • Fixed manufacturing overhead, allocated $216,000 (not avoidable)
  • Total cost $900,000

total avoidable costs = $576,000

additional revenue generated by freed facilities = $180,000

financial advantage of purchasing from outside vendor = ($576,000 + $180,000) - $720,000 = $36,000

Single

Qualifying widow(er)

Answer:

Head of household  filing status should Wilhelmina indicate on her tax return

Explanation:

She was unmarried at the end of the year and provided over half the cost of keeping a home as a residence for a dependent.

The head of household is the actual US taxpayers ' filing status. A taxpayer must be either single at the end of the year in order to use the status of head of household registration. You paid for the tax year more than half of the cost of owning a home.

For many people who file as head of household, their qualifying dependent is a child.

A qualifying child is your biological child, stepchild, foster child, sibling, step sibling, half sibling or a descendant of one of these. The child also needs to be under the age of 19 (or under the age of 24 if a full-time student).
