Answer:

Does a person's job/ role and environment affect his personality?

Explanation:

In this experiment some students were taken to the jail / prison where they were assigned different jobs such as jailer and prisoner. An experiment was conducted to test whether people's behavior changes with the nature of the job assigned.

The explorers wanted to explore the change in human behaviors on the nature of the job and role.

The results showed a drastic change in the nature of people only because of the change in their roles.

Negative effects in the environment or negated roles such as those of prisoners and the environment of the prison affects humans drastically. It brings out a huge change making them do things which they never did or never thought of doing.

alexgriva [62]

Answer:

In the given quote from the short story ‘Sredni Vashtar’ the author Saki (Hector Hugh Munro, 1870 - 1916) suggests that the main character Conradin is seeing the world to consist of two parts. His cousin Mrs. De Ropp, whom he deeply despises, belongs to the bigger part of the world (three-fifth).

Explanation:

 • This part is necessary, because it keeps the material things around Conradin to function properly (like getting food, fresh clothing, etc).
 • This part is disagreeable, because it imposes its rules and control over Conradin, as Mrs. De Ropp does.
 • This part is real, because it is material, opposing to the imaginary world, with which Conradin identifies himself.
