Answer: English refomation constitutes a crucial factor in Colonization of North America. In England reformation led to formation of various groups of protestants and it was them who desired much better society. Longing for better and more just society led them to distant and unexplored America. It means that utopian imagery of better society was crucial factor in psychology of colonizers, pilgrims.

Explanation: "more perfect union" (better than the union between England and Scotland) is an expression from preamble of American constitution. This expression reveals the dream, aspiration, ambition of first English-speaking colonizers coming to the new continent.  This is very important especially in relation to colonization of Spanish and Portuguese speaking colonies in Americas.
