Plants are autotrophs i.e. they can make their own food by using carbon dioxide and sunlight as the source of energy in the presence of chlorophyll. Oxygen is released as the by product during this process of photosynthesis. Fungi on the other hand are heterotrophs. They lack chlorophyll and depend on other organisms to support themselves. Both plants and fungi have cell wall but plants contain cellulose cells wall whereas fungi has chitinous cell wall.
The nervous system maintains homeostasis by controlling and regulating the other parts of the body. A deviation from a normal set point acts as a stimulus to a receptor, which sends nerve impulses to a regulating center in the brain.
