Since length is 3 less than 1/3 width, set up equation l=(1/3)w-3. Because P=2(l+w), substitute l with the euation and get P=2(4/3w-3)

Let

y----------> the length side of the rectangle

x-----------> the width side of the rectangle

we know that

the perimeter of the rectangle is equal to

P=2x+2y --------> equation 1

y=\frac{x}{3}-3 --------> equation 2

substitute equation 2 in equation 1

P=2x+2[\frac{x}{3}-3]\\ \\P=2x+ \frac{2x}{3}-6 \\ \\P=(\frac{8x}{3}-6)\ units

therefore

<u>the answer is</u>

P=(\frac{8x}{3}-6)\ units

Romashka [77]

In 60 minute trial, 5 minutes will be taken to set it up. You will have 60-5=55 minutes remaining.

Each level requires 7 minutes, so you can play \frac{55}{7} levels.

So you can play max 7 levels for free (8th level can't be completed)

The inequality, thus, can be written as:

5+7l\leq 60

ANSWER: 5+7l\leq 60

Her box is 12 inches tall.
-Because if you multiply 13 × 5, you get 65 (this is the base) then you work backwards and divide 780 by 65 (780 ÷ 65). Therefore your answer is 12 inches
