Chambers :

Right atrium – receives the deoxygenated blood from various parts of the body  

Right ventricle – receives the deoxygenated blood from the right atrium and pumps it to the lungs via the pulmonary artery  

Left atrium – receives the oxygenated blood from the lungs through pulmonary veins

Left ventricle – receives the oxygenated blood from the left atrium and pumps it to all parts of the body via the aorta

Major blood vessels:

Aorta: Carries pure oxygenated blood from the left ventricle and transports to all parts of the body

Superior vena cava and inferior vena cava: collects deoxygenated blood from the superior and inferior parts of the body respectively and pours it into the right atrium

Pulmonary artery: carries impure deoxygenated blood from right ventricle to the lungs for oxygenation

Pulmonary vein: carries pure oxygenated blood from the lungs to the left atrium

Valves: controls back flow of blood

The bicuspid valve is present between the left atrium and left ventricle  

Tricuspid valve or mitral valve: present between right atrium and right ventricle  

Pulmonary valve: present at the pulmonary artery  

Aortic valve: present at the aorta
