A scientist is trying to determine the relationship between clams, snails, and squid. When she generates a molecular clock, she

is surprised to see that clams and squid are more closely related than clams and snails. Which did the molecular clock data show?
Clams and squid have been evolving separately for a longer time than clams and snails.

I think the last answer presents the truth reveled by the molecular clock. The statement is true, it claimed that clams and snails have stronger relationship than squids. The findings can be strengthened with the origin of their class. All of the said animals came from Phylum Mollusca which make these animals related, but stronger structural relationship can be identified with snails and squids because they are both in the Class Gastropoda. The squid came from Class Cephaloda which makes it more related with octopus and cuttlefishes.

Which of the following is an example of gravitational potential energy?
Ulleksa [173]
Gravitational potential energy changes into kinetic energy. The equation for gravitational potential energy is GPE = mgh, where m is the mass in kilograms, g is the acceleration due to gravity (9.8 on Earth), and h is the height above the ground in meters.
