Bob and Susie wash cars for extra money over the summer. Bob's income is determined by f(x) = 6x + 13, where x is the number of

hours. Susie's income is g(x) = 4x + 18. If Bob and Susie were to combine their efforts, their income would be h(x) = f(x) + g(x). Assume Bob works 3 hours. Create the function h(x) and indicate if Bob will make more money working alone or by teaming with Susie.
h(x) = 2x + 5, work alone

h(x) = 2x + 5, team with Susie

h(x) = 10x + 31, team with Susie

h(x) = 10x + 31, work alone

We are given with two functions: f(x) = 6x + 13 and g(x) = 4x + 18. We are given with h(x) which is associated with f(x) + g(x). The sum of  6x + 13 + 4x + 18 equal to 10x + 31 indicating  Bob will make more money working alone or by teaming with Susie.  The answer hence to this problem is C. h(x) = 10x + 31, team with Susie

For this case we have the following functions:

f (x) = 6x + 13\\g (x) = 4x + 18

When Bob and Susie work together we have the following function:

h (x) = f (x) + g (x)

Substituting values we have:

h (x) = (6x + 13) + (4x + 18)

Rewriting the function we have:

h (x) = 10x + 31

For 3 hours of work we have:

If Bob works alone:

f (3) = 6 (3) + 13\\f (3) = 18 + 13\\f (3) = 31

If Bob works as a team:

h (3) = 10 (3) + 31\\h (3) = 30 + 31\\h (3) = 61

Therefore, more money is made if you work as a team.

Answer:

h (x) = 10x + 31, team with Susie

maksim [4K]

Answer:

$35,000

Explanation:

Since this is an operating lease (short lease term, no transfer of ownership, and low present value of lease payments), the lessor has to record a depreciation expense, but the lessee only considers lease payments as operating costs (no depreciation expense or lease liability should be recognized).

Depreciation expense per year under the straight line method = asset cost / useful life = $280,000 / 8 years = $35,000

Which would be an example of sustainable development? a. Current use of fossil fuels in the U.S. b. Heap-leach extraction of gol
Setler [38]

Answer:

The correct answer is letter "D": Development of brownfields in urban areas.

Explanation:

In urban planning, sustainable development refers to continuous activities that can be performed during extended periods of time. They are the result of repeated patterns of individuals who, sometimes unconsciously, provoke more and more individuals to repeat their actions.

Under such a scenario, <em>the development of brownfields in urban areas is the result of building more department complexes in the cities because of the increasing need for renting and selling houses as a result of the increasing population growth.</em>

son4ous [18]

Answer:

Payroll factor State U:

  • commissions $50,000
  • fringe benefit package $15,000

Explanation:

State           Sales Generated Fiona’s         Time Spent There

U                        $3,000,000                             20%

V                        $4,000,000                             50%

X                        $8,000,000                             30%

Sales percentage generated in state U = $3,000,000 / $15,000,000 = 20%

so 20% of the $250,000 commissions should be assigned to state U = $50,000

Time spent in state U = 20% x $75,000 fringe benefits = $15,000 assigned to state U
